Delete your account and data
Last updated: 2026-10-02. You can delete your Spiritual Warrior Project account at any time, from the app or the website, without having to ask anyone. This page explains how, and exactly what happens to your data when you do.
Delete your account yourself
- Sign in at app.swproject.co.uk or in the SW Project app.
- Open Account settings and choose the Privacy tab.
- Choose Delete my account, type your email address to confirm, and enter your password if your account has one.
Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone. You are signed out on every device.
What is deleted
- Your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, city, country and profile details.
- Your profile photo, and every photo and video you posted to the community.
- Your password, two-factor authentication and all sign-in sessions.
- Your friendships, blocks, notifications, reactions, tasks, and course and reading progress.
- Problem reports you sent us: your description, the page and your device details.
- The words of your posts and comments. They are hidden and replaced with “[removed]”.
- Your camp application: your answers, medical and dietary information, emergency contact, and uploaded documents such as your passport and CV.
- Your travel and insurance details.
- The IP address and browser details recorded when you accepted our terms.
- Any notes you wrote on mentor session bookings or camp registrations.
What we keep, and why
UK law requires businesses to keep financial records, usually for six years. So we keep the following, under the name “Former member” and with nothing that identifies you:
- Payments, refunds, amounts and payment references.
- The fact that terms were accepted, and which version (not who accepted them).
- Camp places and mentor session bookings, and what they cost.
- Reports you made about other people’s posts, comments or conduct, so moderators can still act on them, with your name removed.
Private messages you sent stay in the other person’s conversation, because they are half of their history too. Your name is no longer attached to them.
When you cannot delete straight away
- You have a place booked on an upcoming camp. Deleting would erase the welfare and medical details the team needs to keep you safe there. Message us to cancel your place first, then delete your account.
- You are a member of staff or a mentor. Staff accounts are closed by an owner. Ask one to remove yours.
If you applied but never had an account
If you sent us an application but never signed in, message us on WhatsApp at +44 7507 548712 or email any @swproject.co.uk address you have for us, and ask for your data to be deleted. We will confirm it is you, then delete it in the same way as above, and tell you when it is done.
For more on how we handle personal data, read our Privacy Notice.
